Bright is situated in the northeastern Victoria. It is a major gateway to majestic alpine scenery and has a variety of native birds and animals. Morses Creek and the Ovens River have adjoining tracks which are ideal for short or long walks.
Bright is also a popular family destination over summer and the population swells, particularly after Christmas. During the summer months Bright enjoys consistently warm, sunny days with comfortable overnight temperatures.
At the time of this writing, the Bright Spring festival is coming up…even though spring has started, the festival officially starts on 21 October. Come visit and see the beautiful blossoms. The weather is spectacular too. Plus this year the snow season has been extended until 8 October, so you get to spend time in the snow too.

- The Bright Markets held on 3rd Saturday of each month between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
- The underground river horizontal cave at Mt Buffalo. Beware the water is very cold and the rocks are extremely slippery.
- Road cycling along the Great Alpine Road to Mt Holtham. 305 km of scenic views from Wangaratta to Bairnsdale over the top at Mt Hotham.

- See the town of Bright from Apex and Tower scenic lookouts.

Things you can do at Riverbend Homestead
- During the warmer months you can swim in the dam on the Riverbend Homestead property.
- You can feed the sheep, alpacas and chickens.
- You can fish in the dam or Ovens River which runs through the Riverbend Farm.
- You and your children can ride push bikes around the property.
